About Us
Established almost a decade ago by the Poulter family, Bluestone
Lane Vineyard sits amongst acres of rejuvenated wetlands and
bush. The site of the now flourishing vineyard was once rundown
cattle grazing land. Thanks to the Poulter's landscaping expertise
it is now home to untold species of native wildlife.
With 20 years of wine making experience, Andrew Thomson and
Phillip Kettle are our two senior winemakers. Each have experience
in a range of varietals and regions, from the cool climate wines
of the macedon ranges through to the wines of margaret river.
Both are inspired by the challenge that Bluestone
Lane resents. "Handmade wines produced in small
batches are our goal here" says Andrew. "And
because Bluestone Lane Vineyard is so young,
we've got the opportunity to craft strong and
unique wines". Working with the grapes at Bluestone
Lane Vineyard should be a pleasure for the two, as the conditions
lend themselves to fruit yielding high quality wines. This will
lead to more intense and long lasting flavours.
